New and Changed Features for 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.9)

Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.9) contains the following new or changed configuration variables:

Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8) contains the following new or changed configuration variables:

  • EmailNotificationType specifies where the links in notification emails point for workflows and subscriptions in different Content Server user interfaces.

  • DisableESigSSLCheck disables the SSL requirement for Electronic Signature when used in workflows.

  • HttpBrowserHttpHostDoesNotHavePort notifies Content Server that the HTTP address that it computed for the Content Server's administration server and applets does not have a port number and it needs to look for a port number.

  • CachedResultRowCount default value has changed.

  • coaoShowLinkExtensions limits the display of the Check Out and Open component Edit action menu to the specified file extension values.

  • The following variables have been removed and are no longer supported:

    • ARCHIVE_COLLECTION

    • SearchCacheHardLimit

    • SearchCacheSoftLimit

    • SearchCacheTrace

    • SearchConnectionWaitTimeout

New and Changed Features for 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7)

Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7) includes the following new and changed configuration variables:

  • DoMetaInternetSearch, enables Internet search syntax for metadata fields.

  • FldEnforceFolderFileNameUniqueness, makes name-uniqueness checks for folder and file names case-insensitive, and makes path resolution case-insensitive.

    This variable prevents folders from having a child folder with the same name as a child document.

  • MaxIndexableFileSize, sets a maximum document file size for indexing.

  • MinIndexableFileSize, sets a minimum document file size for indexing.

  • UseNestedGroups, used with JPS provider, specifies whether Oracle WebCenter Content Server retrieves users' direct and indirect group membership in the authentication provider.

Other Significant Changes in this Book

For 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7), this guide was updated in several ways.

  • This book was restructured so that it contains only information about configuration variables that can be used in the Oracle WebCenter Content config.cfg file, intradoc.cfg file, and other .cfg files. Some variables also can be used with Idoc Script.

    All information about Idoc Script, Idoc Script functions, and variables that are used only in Idoc Script, was moved to Oracle Fusion Middleware Developing with Oracle WebCenter Content.

  • The lists of content for each chapter (core Content Server variables, management and configuration variables, and feature variables) were removed.

  • The master list for Type was removed.

  • The master list for Usage was revised to reference only configuration variables.
