I've tapped on a document on my iPhone and iPad, but the properties page displays

This is probably because your iPhone or iPad doesn't have an app installed to open the type of file you're trying to view. Instead, you'll see the file properties page. You can try tapping the Action icon ( ) and selecting Open In to display a list of possible apps you can use to view the file.
