The following topics introduce the new and changed features of Oracle WebCenter Content administration applications and other significant changes that are described in this guide, and provides pointers to additional information.
Oracle WebCenter Content Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.9.0) includes the following new and changed features:
A new configuration variable called sceUseNativeInDataFeeds has been introduced. See Section 11.10, "Configuration Variables."
An option to make folders ReadOnly has been added. See Section 5.1.1.1, "Folders and Files."
The Select List Validated and Select List Not Validated options are relevant for content added/updated using the Content Server interface in addition to content added using the Batch Loader and Archiver. See Section 7.2, "Defining an Option List."
Added a reference to the ”Adding Browser Search Engines in WebCenter Content” blog. See Section 41.2, "Setting the Web Browser Search Provider Name for a Content Server Instance."
Added a reference to the ”Conversions in WebCenter Content” blog. See Chapter 23, "Working with Conversions."
Removed reference to defaults.reg. See Chapter 41, "Managing Desktop."
Updated the reference to the ”Integrating the Inbound Refinery with 3rd Party Image Converters” blog. See Section 24.1.1, "Supported Conversion Applications."
For Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.8.0), this guide included the following new and changed features:
Records Management, added retention configuration options Lifecycle Start Time, Lifecycle End Time, Vital Start Time, Vital End Time. See Section 11.5.
Inbound Refinery no longer uses the HTMLConverter component. The functionality it provided has been moved to the WinNativeConverter component.
Inbound Refinery uses Oracle Outside In Technology to generate previews for use in the Oracle WebCenter Content View Document page of the Oracle WebCenter Content user interface.
For Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.7.0), this guide included the following significant changes.
The guide was restructured and became the new edition of the formerly titled Oracle WebCenter Content Application Administrator's Guide for Content Server.
