Remove metrics from a chart

Before you begin

Open the custom view containing the chart from which you want to remove a metric. For information, see Display views.

You can remove a metric from a chart in either of the following ways:

Select the metric legend menu adjacent to the metric you want to remove, and choose Delete.
Use keyboard shortcuts:
1. Select the chart containing the metric you want to remove.
2. Shift-click anywhere in the viewport.
3. Shift-click on the legend entry for the graph.
4. Press the Delete key.

After you finish

If you discard changes to the view containing the chart with the deleted metric, you can recover the metric in the chart. However, you cannot selectively discard changes, so you will lose any other changes you made, too. Once you save changes to the view, the deleted metric is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
