Preparing the standalone application server for deployment involves the following tasks:

• Install the application server (if not already installed)

• Section 2.2.1, "How to Install the ADF Runtime to the Application Server Installation"

• Section 2.2.2, "How to Create and Extend Oracle WebLogic Server Domains"

  or create and extend IBM WebSphere Application Server cells.

• Section 2.2.3, "How to Create a JDBC Data Source for Oracle WebLogic Server"

  or Section 2.2.4, "How to Create a JDBC Data Source for IBM WebSphere Application Server"

• Create and Register the MDS Repository (if needed)
