This figure shows four tiers:

• The Client Tier, with wireless and mobile devices, as well as desktop users.

• The Web Tier, with a network load balancer, internal users, and two instances of Oracle HTTP Server.

• The Application Tier, with an Active/Active Cluster. It contains a domain with an Administration Server and two Managed Servers.

• The Data Tier, which contains a RAC Database with schemas.
