Modify existing notifications in a diagnostic system module

Before you begin

To modify an existing notification:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, expand Diagnostics and select Diagnostic Modules.
  3. On the Summary of Diagnostic Modules page, click the name of the module containing the notification(s) you want to modify.
  4. On the Settings for [Module Name] page, select Configuration > Watches and Notifications > Notifications.
  5. Click the name of the notification you want to modify. The Settings for <notification_name> page appears. For all notification types other than SNMP, there are two tabs: General and <notification-type> Properties.
  6. Select or deselect the Enable Notification check box to enable or disable the notification.
  7. For all notification types other than SNMP, select the <notification-type> Properties tab and go to the next step. For SNMP notifications, skip the next step.
  8. The page that appears next is different for each notification type. Change the setting(s) as desired. For information about the items on the page, click the Help link at the top of the page.
  9. Click Save.
  10. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
