This figure shows the New Wallet Password dialog box, which is displayed the first time you log in to Studio and connect to a repository. This dialog box contains the following instructional paragraph at the top:
Create a new wallet password to keep your ODI and repository credentials encrypted. Password must have a minimum length of eight characters and contain alphabetic characters combined with numbers or special characters.
You are presented with two options:
Store passwords in secure wallet — (Default) This option prompts you to enter a wallet password, confirm the password, and set the number of days after which the password expires. The default expiration is 180 days.
Store passwords without secure wallet — Choose this option to store passwords outside a password-protected wallet.
Oracle strongly recommends choosing the default option to store passwords in a secure wallet.
The buttons Help, OK, and Cancel are displayed at the bottom.
