Create server templates


Server templates enable you to easily manage configuration for a group of server instances in one centralized location. For more information about server templates, see Server Templates.

To create a server template in an existing domain:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, select Environment > Clusters > Server Templates.

    The Server Templates table displays all the server templates defined in the domain.
  3. In the Server Templates table, click New.
  4. On the Create a New Server Template page, enter a unique name for the server template and click OK.
  5. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
    Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

Result

The new server template is displayed in the Server Templates table.
