View the WSDL of a Web service

Before you begin

You must install a Web service before you can view its WSDL. See Install a Web service.

Every Web service publishes a WSDL file that describes its public contract, such as the public operations that client applications can invoke, the transports that can be used to invoke the Web service, and so on.

To view the WSDL of a deployed Web service:

  1. In the left pane of the Administration Console, select Deployments.
  2. In the right pane, navigate within the Deployments table until you find the Web service whose WSDL you want to view.

Note: Web services are deployed as part of an Enterprise application, Web application, or EJB. To understand how Web services are displayed in the Administration Console, see View installed Web services.

  3. In the Deployments table, click the name of the Web service.
  4. Select Testing to display the Deployment Tests page.
  5. Expand the name of the Web service to display its test points and click ?WSDL to view its dynamic WSDL in a separate browser.
