8 Going Further with Oracle Data Integrator

This chapter describes what steps to take next with Oracle Data Integrator.

You have now completed a Project extracting data from a SAP BW system.

In this Project, you have:

  • Set up the environment and topology to work with SAP BW.

  • Created and reverse-engineered a SAP BW data model.

  • Created different mappings to load the data from Info Cube, Info Object, ODS/DSO, Info Cube & Info Object join, Open Hub destination table, Delta SAP BW data targets & tables into the Oracle database.

Refer to individual KM options and their descriptions as well as to "Considerations for SAP BW Integration" in "Application Adapters Guide for Oracle Data Integrator" for more information on the SAP BW KM features and options.

Note:

In case the execution did not complete successfully, please check the ODI Operator and ODI Logs for details. In addition to this, the following log files will contain execution information.
  • <System Temp Dir or local FTP dir>/ ZODI_<Mapping Id>_<SrcSet>_<Context>.out

  • <System Temp Dir or local FTP dir>/ ZODI_<Mapping Id>_<SrcSet>_<Context>.err
