Target an enterprise application to a server instance


When you install an enterprise application, you specify the server instances and clusters to which the application is targeted. You can, however, change these targets even after the application has been installed, as described in the following procedure:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, select Deployments.

    A table in the right pane displays all deployed enterprise applications and application modules.

  3. In the Deployments table, select the enterprise application you want to re-target.
  4. Select Targets.
  5. In the Servers box, select the check boxes for the names of the server instances (Administration and Managed) to which you want to target the enterprise application.
  6. If you have clusters configured in your domain, a Clusters box also appears on the page. In this box, select the check boxes for the names of the clusters to which you want to target the application. For each cluster, you can choose to target the application to all servers in the cluster, or just to a selected few.
  7. Click Save.
  8. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
    Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
