Clone server templates

Before you begin

See Create server templates.


Cloning creates a new server template based on an existing server template.

To clone a server template:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, select Environment > Clusters > Server Templates.

    The Server Templates table displays all the server templates defined in the domain.
  3. In the Server Templates table, select the checkbox next to the name of the server template you want to clone and click Clone.
  4. On the Clone a Server Template page, enter a unique name for the server template and click OK.
  5. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
    Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

Result

The new server template is displayed in the Server Templates table.
