Create a new resource group template


A resource group template is a named, domain-level collection of deployable resources intended to be used as a pattern by (usually) multiple resource groups. Each resource group that refers to a given template will have its own runtime copies of the resources defined in the template.

To create a resource group template:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, expand Environment and select Resource Group Templates.
  3. Click New.
  4. On the Create a New Resource Group Template page, enter the name that will identify your resource group template.
  5. Click OK.

After you finish

Creating a new resource group template provides only the basic structure. You must now edit this resource group template. See Configure resource group templates for the steps to follow.
