Configure general virtual target properties

To configure the general properties for a virtual target:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, expand Environment and select Virtual Targets.
  3. On the Summary of Virtual Targets page, select the instance you want to configure.

If the table is empty, refer to Create a new virtual target.

  4. Select Configuration > General and update as necessary:
    1. Host Names - Host names, separated by line breaks, for which this virtual target will serve requests.
    2. URI Prefix - URI prefix for which this virtual target serves HTTP requests.
    3. Partition Channel - The network channel name for the partition. A network channel in a WebLogic Server instance is a combination of the following four attributes: communication protocol, listen address, listen port, and channel name.
    4. Explicit Port - The explicit port for this virtual target.
    5. Port Offset - The port offset of the port for this virtual target.

For more information on general destination attributes, see Configuration Options.

  5. Click Save.
  6. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
