Oracle Fusion Middleware Data Visualization Tools Tag Reference for Oracle ADF Faces 12c (12.2.1.2) E76719-01 |
dvt:pointLocation pointLocation point location
UIComponent class: oracle.adf.view.faces.bi.component.thematicMap.UIPointLocation
Component type: oracle.dss.adf.thematicMap.PointLocation
The pointLocation tag is a child of the pointDataLayer. It is used to specify the columns in the data layer's model that determine the location of the data points. These locations can be names that join with the named points in the built-in basemap, or they can be x/y coordinates.
There are two different types of pointLocations: pointName and pointXY. If the location of the data points is given in terms of named points (such as cities), then type="pointName" is used along with the pointName attribute to join with the names in the built-in point layer of the basemap.
<dvt:pointDataLayer value="#{bean.myCollection}" var="row" > <dvt:pointLocation type="pointName" pointName="#{row.cityName}" > <dvt:marker /> </dvt:pointLocation> </dvt:pointDataLayer>
If the data is in terms of point coordinates, then type="pointXY" is used along with the pointX and pointY attributes. The expected values for pointX and pointY depends on the projections included in the specified basemap. For all of the built-in basemaps, the points should be specified in latitude and longitude values.
<dvt:pointDataLayer value="#{bean.myCollection}" var="row" > <dvt:pointLocation type="pointXY" pointX="#{row.longitude}" pointY="#{row.latitude}" > <dvt:marker /> </dvt:pointLocation> </dvt:pointDataLayer>
The <dvt:pointLocation> tag can have the following children:
Type | Phases | Description |
---|---|---|
org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.event.AttributeChangeEvent | Invoke Application, Apply Request Values |
Event delivered to describe an attribute change. Attribute change events are not delivered for any programmatic change to a property. They are only delivered when a renderer changes a property without the application's specific request. An example of an attribute change event might include the width of a column that supported client-side resizing. |
Name | Type | Supports EL? | Description |
---|---|---|---|
attributeChangeListener | javax.el.MethodExpression | Only EL | A method reference to an attribute change listener |
binding | String | Only EL | Binding reference to store the UIPointLocation component |
id | String | No | the identifier for the component |
pointName | String | Yes | The column in the data model that determines the location of the point data. The locations are ids of the named points from the basemap point layer for which the data is being displayed. Used only when the pointLocation type="pointName".
For the "usa" basemap, the city ids are the two letter state abbreviation the city is located in, followed by an underscore, and then the name of the city, all in capital letters with underscores replacing characters that are not letters (e.g., the id for Boston, Massachusetts is "MA_BOSTON" and the id for San Antonio, Texas is "TX_SAN_ANTONIO") For all other basemaps, the city ids are determined by taking the three-letter country code, followed by an underscore, and then the name of the city, all in capital letters with underscores replacing characters that are not letters (e.g., the id for Toronto, Canada is "CAN_TORONTO" and the id for Los Angeles, United States is "USA_LOS_ANGELES") Links to complete lists of the location ids for all basemaps are listed below: |
pointX | String | Yes | The x coordinate of the point data. Used only when the pointLocation type="pointXY". |
pointY | String | Yes | The y coordinate of the point data. Used only when the pointLocation type="pointXY". |
rendered | boolean | Yes | Default Value: true Specifies whether the component is rendered. The default value is true. |
type | String | Yes | Valid Values: pointName, pointXY Default Value: pointName The type of the point data being used. Valid values are:
