Map EIS groups to WebLogic groups

To create an inbound principal mapping that maps an EIS group to a WebLogic group:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, select Deployments.
  3. In the Deployments table, select the resource adapter you want to configure.
  4. Select Security > Inbound Principal Mappings.
  5. If Security Context Mapping Required is not selected, select it, then click Save.

    Two tables are displayed:

    • Inbound Caller Principal Mappings — lists the inbound EIS user mappings that have been created.
    • Inbound Group Principal Mappings — lists the inbound EIS group mappings that have been created
  6. In the Inbound Group Principal Mappings table, click New.

The EIS Group to WebLogic Group Mapping page is displayed.

  7. Specify the group from the EIS security domain:
    • If a mapping for the default EIS group has not already been created, you can either select Default EIS Group Mapping, or provide the EIS group name in EIS Group.
    • If a mapping for the default EIS group has already been created, you may only supply the EIS group name in EIS Group. (Default EIS Group Mapping is not available for selection.)
  8. Specify the WebLogic Group to which the EIS group is mapped.
  9. Click Finish.

Result

The inbound EIS group mapping is created and appears by its EIS group name in the Inbound Group Principal Mappings table of the Inbound Principal Mappings tab. Inbound principal mappings cannot be modified. If you want to change an inbound principal mapping, select the mapping in the Inbound Principal Mappings page, click Delete, and create a new one.
