Select a built-in diagnostics system module


To select a built-in diagnostics system module:

  1. In the left pane, select Diagnostics > Built-in Diagnostics Modules.
  2. In the Built-in Diagnostic System Modules table, select the server instance for which you want to enable a built-in diagnostics system module.
  3. In the Settings for server-name page, select the built-in module type that you want to enable from Built-in Module.
  4. Click Save.

Result

The selected built-in diagnostics system module is enabled and in effect. No server restart is necessary. For more information, see Data Collected by Built-in Diagnostic System Modules.

After you finish

Creating a custom diagnostics system module is greatly simplified by using one of the built-in system modules as a template and modifying it as desired. You can then configure the custom system module as you would if you created it from scratch. For information, see Create a diagnostic system module using a built-in for a template.
