Using Java EE data sources


Although you create Java EE data source resources programtically, you need to install, deploy, control, and monitor them using the Administration Console.

The main steps for using Java EE data sources are:

  1. Create Java EE data source resources in your application. See Using DataSource Resource Definitions.
  2. Install and deploy applications containing Java EE data source resources. See Install applications and modules and Deploy applications and modules.
  3. Control Java EE data sources. See Control Java EE data sources.
  4. Monitor Java EE data sources. See Monitor Java EE data sources.
