Edit a fair share constraint

Before you begin

Create a Resource Consumption Manager

A fair share policy allows you to allocate a share (a percentage of the available resource) based on a representative load for each partition in the domain. See Configuring Resource Consumption Management.

To edit a fair share constraint:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the Domain Structure tree, expand Environment, then select Resource Management.
  3. On the Summary of Resource Managers page, select the resource manager for which you want to edit a fair share constraint.
  4. On the Policies page, select the fair share constraint to edit.
  5. On the Edit Fairshare Constraint page, edit the amount of resource allocated as a percentage of the total available resource.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
