Table 10-5 lists the standard codes referenced in the Order Line. Table 10-5 Standard Codes Referenced in the Order Line
Code  Description

D-U-N-S ® Number

Dun & Bradstreet has developed a nine-digit identification sequence commonly used as a company identifier in EDI and global electronic commerce transactions. A large organization is likely to have many different D&B D-U-N-S numbers since each business location may have its own unique identifier.

For more information on Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. visit http://www.dnb.com.

UN/SPSC

The United Nations Development Programme and Dun & Bradstreet's have combined to define a standardized, open system for classifying products and services: UN/Standard Product & Service Code (UN/SPSC). The system uses a hierarchical structure with 5 levels and approximately 8,000 total classifications.
