Configuring the Web Profile for Two-Factor Authentication

To enable two-factor authentication with TOTP, the administrator must specify a custom property on the Web Profile Configuration page.

To update the Web Profile Configuration:

1. Access the Web Profile Configuration page (select PeopleTools, then Web Profile, and then Web Profile Configuration) and select the web profile in use.
2. Select the Custom Properties tab.
3. Add a row with this information:
   • Property Name — WebMFAEnabled
   • Validation type — Boolean
   • Property value — true
4. Save the page.
5. Stop and restart the web server.
