(Preview) Set Your Time Zone

You can select your preferred time zone setting in your profile to apply to your analytics content.

The option to select your preferred time zone is available for preview. Ask your administrator to turn on the Enable Time Zone option in System Settings. See Preview Options

Currently, the Timezone setting in your Profile applies only to date time columns with time zone association in subject areas. It also applies to any filters, parameters, or calculations using these columns, as well as any reference lines used in visualizations. It doesn't apply to datasets.

Your administrator can configure various time zone settings in the Console to apply to analytics content and to users. You can override these system settings and choose your own time zone. Oracle Analytics converts the columns with a Time Stamp data type in any subject areas to the time zone you select.

In your profile settings, you can choose from the following time zone options:
  • None - Doesn't perform any time zone conversion. This is the default setting.
  • Browser Setting - Uses the default browser time zone.
  • System Setting - If your administrator has set a time zone to apply to all users that's different from the time zone they set for workbooks, this option uses that pre-defined user time zone.
  • Specific GMT time zone - Uses the time zone that you select.
  1. On your home page, click your user name or name badge with your initials.
  2. Click Profile.
  3. In My Profile, click Timezone and select an option.
  4. Click Save, then click Close.
