Enable Ops Insights for an Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure

Autonomous Database includes Ops Insights as one of its associated services. Ops Insights is a cloud-native service that enables users to make informed, data-driven, Autonomous Database resource and performance management decisions.

Required IAM Policies

Procedure

By default, Ops Insights is disabled for an Autonomous Database, and you must enable it from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.

To enable Ops Insights for your database:

  1. Go to the Details page of the Autonomous Database.
    For instructions, see View Details of a Dedicated Autonomous Database.

    Note:

    For dedicated databases that use Autonomous Data Guard, go to the Details page of the primary database. Ops Insights is not supported on a Standby Autonomous Database.
  2. On the Details page, locate Ops Insights under Associated Services.
  3. Click the Enable link next to Ops Insights.

    Note:

    For an Autonomous Database with Ops Insights already enabled, you would see the Disable link instead. Click this link to disable Ops Insights for your database.
  4. On the confirmation dialog, click Enable.
You see Enabling next to Ops Insights. After the Ops Insights is enabled, a link to view the operations insights for your database appears. Refer to Use Ops Insights on Dedicated Autonomous Database for more details.
