Create A Target Database Group
You can create a target database group to facilitate operations on multiple target databases simultaneously, thereby eliminating the time and effort needed for individual target management.
Create A Target Database Group
- Under Data Safe, click Target database groups.
- Click Create target database group.
- Enter a Group name.
- (Optional) Enter a Description.
- Select a Condition from the drop-down list.
Note:
- Target database(s) will be added to the group if they fulfill at least one of the conditions defined below.
- Target database group membership is limited to the compartment where the group is created and its sub-compartments.
- If you selected Compartment, do the following:
- Select a Compartment from the drop-down list.
- Check Include child compartments if desired.
- If you selected Tag, do the following:
- Select a Tag Namespace from the drop-down list.
- Select a Tag Key from the drop-down list.
- Enter a Tag Value.
Note:
Tags are considered only within the compartment where the target database group is created and its sub-compartments. - If you selected Target database, do the following:
- Select one or more targets in the Target databases field.
Note:
Click Change compartment if you want to add targets from another compartment.
- Select one or more targets in the Target databases field.
- Click Add more members to add additional members to the group.
- (Optional) Click Show advanced options.
- Select a Tag namespace from the drop-down list.
- Select a Tag key from the drop-down list.
- Enter a Tag value.
- Click Add tag to add additional tags.
- Click Create target database group.
