About the Semantic Model Extensions Banner

Use the banner on the Semantic Model Extensions page to understand the health of your semantic model.

The banner provides details of the errors in your semantic model. The initial banner provides a Learn More option to understand how to validate the semantic model. You can use the Validate Model option to refresh the error list on the banner and examine the validation messages in the Activity tab on the Semantic Model Extensions page. You can also click View Errors to see the detected issues and then download the errors by exporting them to Excel for easier analysis.

If you close the initial banner without correcting errors, a second, more urgent warning will appear that states “Leaving errors uncorrected will cause semantic model upgrades to fail. Your pipeline may be disabled, release updates halted, and usability and support may be lost as a result. Please view the errors and make corrections as soon as possible or click Acknowledge to accept the impacts described.” When you acknowledge the warning, the system records the action in the Activity tab.

The Administration Console displays a banner regarding the health of your semantic model the first time you access the Console or when you refresh your browser. However, on the Semantic Model Extensions page, the banner persists until you resolve or all errors or acknowledge the warning.
