Scale Up Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse

Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence provides the associated Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse with certain capacities that are within its service limits.

If you require additional storage or compute units (ECPUs) to meet your workload requirements, then you can scale up Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse associated with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence. Any scale up of the ECPUs or storage initially provisioned by Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence is metered immediately resulting in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure charges; see Cost and Usage Reports to view the additional usage and cost of your added Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse ECPUs or storage.

As a service administrator, you can scale up the default capacities within the service limits. You can view the service limits of Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse associated with your Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence service using the Limits, Quotas and Usage page in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console. See Viewing Your Service Limits, Quotas and Usage. You can submit a request to increase your service limits from Limits, Quotas, and Usage page in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console. See Requesting a Service Limit Increase.

Note:

While scaling up the initial ECPUs or storage, if you see a message that says the service limits were exceeded, you must subscribe for universal credits. See Important – Read Before Activating and Activate the Universal Credits Subscription.

After increasing or decreasing the ECPU count, you must run a pipeline incremental job for the ECPU count changes to take effect. After the incremental run, perform the following for the new maximum connection limit to be applied:

• Publish the semantic model in your test or development instance. See Publish Model.
• Import and deploy a semantic model bundle in your production instance. See Import a Bundle and Deploy a Bundle.

1. Sign in to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console.
2. In Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console, click the Navigation menu icon.
3. In the navigation options, click Analytics & AI. Under Analytics, click Data Intelligence.
4. Navigate to your service instances page.
5. On the Instances page, click the instance for which you want to view the details.
6. On the instance details page, click the Name under Autonomous AI Lakehouse .

7. On the Autonomous AI Database instance details page, click More actions and then select Manage resource allocation.

8. In Manage resource allocation:
   1. To increase the compute units, in ECPU count, enter the required value or select Compute auto scaling to enable expansion of the provisioned compute units as workload expands.
   2. To increase storage capacity, in Storage (TB) enter a value or click the up arrow to select a value and then click Apply.
