Generating Custom Mapping

The TAR Automation and TAR Automation Book Balance UI enables you to map provision data to the new accounts added (that is, columns) that represent the company’s general ledger account structure for tax. When mapping data you must define the TARF account (that is, column) and movement (that is, row) to map the data.

The TAR Automation and TAR Automation Book Balance UI allows for more than one account to be displayed at one time during the mapping process. This enables the user to map both sides of the journal entry. For instance, you can view the current tax expense and the current tax payable detail in the same UI. This is useful when mapping data from the provision.

To select appropriate Source Accounts: National or Regional, you must select at least one. For each Account selected, scroll right to see the same set of columns.

To add detail accounts:

  1. From the Home page, click Application, and then Configuration.
  2. On the Configure screen, select TAR Automation.

    Note:

To work on TAR Automation Book Balance, you must select the TAR Automation Book Balance tab from the TAR Automation screen. See Generating Default Mapping
The UI will be empty the first time that it is displayed.
  3. On the TAR Automation UI, from the POV, select the POV you require:
    • Account dimension - you can choose multiple accounts for the POV.

      Note:

Although there is no limit on the number of accounts you can select, the more accounts you choose, the bigger the impact will be on processing time.
    • Scenario, Year, and Period dimensions - you can only choose one member for each.

The POV selections are validated, and errors displayed if the following conditions exist:

    • If the selected member is not a child of TARF Accounts
    • If the selected member is not a base member
    • If the selected member has a function added

    Select Member dialog box
  4. Click the cell for each mandatory field to open the Member Selector, and select the appropriate members for each column:
