New Features, Enhancements, and Issues

  • Improved Web Interface

    The updated Essbase web interface is the default (and only) Web UI, offering many new features, such as faster navigation and improved productivity. For highlights, refer to:

  • Federated Cubes

    Federated cubes offer Essbase-managed data storage. Refer to: Federated Cubes: Integrate Essbase with Autonomous AI Database and USERMANAGEDFEDFACT.

  • It's easier to cancel long-running SQL requests in federated cubes. Refer to: Cancel Long Running SQL on Federated Cubes.

  • There is no longer a restriction against renaming a federated application or cube.

  • Federated Cubes

    Oracle Essbase stack provisioning on OCI is improved, with support for Oracle AI Database 26ai as the default RCU schema repository, as well as continued support for Essbase 19c.

  • MDX Export Improvements

    You can run dataless (metadata-only) MDX exports, and you can optimize data exports by using the SKIPZERO directive. Refer to: MDX Export.

  • Oracle Essbase and AI

    Essbase Release Update patches only contain Essbase binaries. You must manually download other patches, such as those for Fusion Middleware, and apply them manually. These patches are included in the latest listings.

      Note:

      After you install the latest WLS STACK PATCH BUNDLE, check to see whether patch 33735326 was included. If it is not present, you must apply it.
