Clear a visit date

Clear a subject's visit date in order to skip the visit, hide a branch, or hide a dynamic visit added in error.

Before you work with this feature, consider the following:
  • Make sure you have the Edit Subject Data permission to clear the visit date.
  • If you cannot clear a visit's date, this means that your study is not configured to allow a site user to edit a visit's date. For more information, reach out to your Clinical Research Associate (CRA).
To clear a visit date:
  1. On the Home page, determine where to work. For step-by-step guidelines, see Access study modes and pages.
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. Filter your view based on several criteria. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
  4. Locate the visit which you would like to remove the visit date for.
  5. Locate the Visit Date question and select the menu icon (Hamburger icon) to the right of the field.

    Note:

    If all questions in your form are frozen, you will not be able to clear the Visit Date. At least one question other than the Visit Date needs to be unfrozen if you would like to clear the Visit Date. This is also applicable for locked questions.   6. Select Clear.
  7. From the Reason for Change drop-down, select the applicable reason for change, then click Submit.
  8. Click Save & Close.
