Update the status of a contact
You can only change a contact's status at the global level. Every contact status update has impact on the associations that exist between that contact and existing institutions.
When updating a contact's status, you have several options. Typically,
you update a contact's status when that contact is no longer required in the studies
that it is assigned to. See the significance and impact of each status update
below.
Status | Description |
---|---|
Restricted | This status indicates that the contact is associated with an institution but they are not active yet. |
Active | This status indicates that the contact is active at the global level and is associated with an institution or more. |
Retired | This status indicates that the contact is inactive and can no longer be associated with an institution. Moreover, no institutions are associated with this contact. |
Disbarred | This status indicates that the contact no longer has the right to practice their profession, therefore they cannot be a part of the organization anymore. Their associated sites must be transferred, as well. |
Deceased | This status indicates that the contact passed away and therefore its associates sites can no longer be associated with them. |
