2 Using Data Management

Starting with the September (23.09) update, the user interface pages listed in the table below will no longer be available in Data Management, but will be available in Data Integration. Data Integration is available now from the Data Exchange card from the home screen in the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud Business Process, and users can access these features in the current EPM Cloud update. Data Management is not going away in 23.09 – only the features which have 100% parity with Data Integration will be moved.

From the Data Integration user interface, select the Actions drop down, and then select Applications. Then select the Configure Connections icon (Image shows the Configure Connections icon.).

From the Data Integration user interface, select the Actions drop down, and then Category Mapping.

The following business processes will be impacted by the Data Management to Data Integration migration:

  • Planning
  • Planning Modules
  • Financial Consolidation and Close
  • Tax Reporting
  • Account Reconciliation
  • Strategic Workforce Planning

Profitability and Cost Management customers will not be affected by the migration and will see no change in their Data Management user interface.

Data Management enables you to perform the following tasks:

  • integrate metadata and data from an EPM Cloud source system or data from a file to an EPM Cloud target application.

  • integrate Oracle General Ledger data with an EPM Cloud if you use Fusion Cloud Release 11 or higher.

    Data Management also supports the Financials Accounting Hub (FAN) and the Financial Accounting Hub Reporting Cloud Service (FRACAS) as part of its integration with the Oracle General Ledger.

  • drill through from the EPM Cloud target application and view data in the EPM Cloud source system.

  • synchronize data between EPM Cloud applications—Move data between EPM Cloud applications, for example, copying data from Financial Consolidation and Close to Essbase for reporting.

  • write back budget data to the source system from any Planning, Oracle Essbase aggregate storage, or Essbase block storage application.

You can also:

  • integrate file-based data from an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) source system into an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) target application.

  • drill through from the EPM target application and view data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) source system.

  • integrate Oracle General Ledger data with the EPM Cloud if you use Fusion Cloud Release 11 or higher.

    Data Management also supports the Financials Accounting Hub (FAN) and the Financial Accounting Hub Reporting Cloud Service (FRACAS) as part of its integration with the Oracle General Ledger.

  • load commitments, obligations, and expenditures from an Budgetary Control to Planning and Planning Modules applications.

  • load Human Resources data from Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud to use in the Oracle Hyperion Workforce Planning business process of Planning Modules.
