Enable Microsoft 365 Calendar Integration in Interviews

When you enable the integration with Microsoft 365 Calendar, interview coordinators can view free / busy calendar information of interviewers. They can also create, reschedule, and delete interviewers to sync with the interviewer's calendar.

The integration with Microsoft 365 Calendar is delivered disabled.

Here are some details to be aware of when you integrate the Microsoft 365 Calendar for interviews:

  • Interviewers will continue to receive the Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting interview notifications, in addition to the Microsoft 365 interview event invitation.
  • While internal candidates are likely Microsoft 365 users, their availability isn't displayed in the availability viewer in Oracle Recruiting. They're also not sent interview events in Microsoft 365. They'll receive the existing Recruiting interview notifications.
  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
    • Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
    • Functional Area: Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management
    • Task: Enterprise Recruiting and Candidate Experience Information
  2. Expand the Microsoft Graph Integration section and click Edit.
  3. Select the Enable Calendar Integration option.
  4. Complete these fields:
    OptionDescription
    Access Type
    Two options are available:
    • All Users: This is the default value. When you select the All Users access type configuration, the integration uses the O365 account of the current user to retrieve the interviewers’ availability. If no O365 account can be found for the current user, the account of the user configured as the default user in the Microsoft Graph Integration configuration is used instead. If no default user is configured, then it won't be possible for the integration to retrieve the interviewers’ availability.
    • Single User: With the Single User option, a restricted mode is used. This means that all operations are performed using this user, and that all Microsoft 365 interview meetings will be created by this user (this user will be visible as being the meeting organizer in the Microsoft 365 meetings) since the integration can't access other accounts. When you select Single User, the Default User Identifier field is required and you need to provide a value.
    Application ID

    Tenant ID

    Application Authentication Type

    Two options are available:

    • Client Secret: Use this option to authenticate using a password. You need to enter the password in the Application Password field.
    • Certificate: Use this option to authenticate using a certificate. Click Browse to select and upload the certificate created on Microsoft Azure portal, then enter the certificate password.

For detailed steps on setting up the authentication process, see the document Email and Calendar Integration: Setting up Microsoft 365 integration for interview scheduling and emails on My Oracle Support (ID 2664168.1).

    Default User Identifier

This is the fallback user ID that can be used to write and delete the interview events or view interviewers availability. This user is used when the original user can't write the event and when trying to viewing interviewers availability.

Calendar Name In most Microsoft 365 instances the default calendar name is Calendar.
  5. Click Validate Integration to ensure the connection is successful.
