What happens to communications during migration?
As an administrator, you can migrate existing communications by navigating to Tools > Scheduled Processes > Upgrade Communication Setups.
During migration:
- Published communications are always migrated to the target environment.
- Draft communications are migrated only when there is a single draft and no published version; if both exist, the published item takes precedence and only it is migrated.
- Unpublished communications are not migrated.
- Communication profiles do not migrate automatically with the communications. It is recommended to include all relevant communication profiles as part of your migration project.
- Owner entities (such as institutions) associated with communications must exist in the target environment (either migrated separately or pre-configured), as communications have dependencies on these associated owners.
