Troubleshoot Access to Objects on Supplier Portal

Here's how you can fix access issues for suppliers if they're unable to view or manage objects on the supplier portal.

Check Privileges Assigned to the Role

The roles provide supplier users with privileges to manage the following objects on supplier portal: change orders, change requests, problem reports, and corrective actions. If roles are modified or if users are unable to view or manage objects, make sure that the privileges are assigned to the role.

Note: Oracle recommends that security administrators don't assign these predefined roles directly to users. Instead, make a copy of a predefined role, remove the privileges that your users don't need, and assign users the role that contains only the privileges they need.

Privileges for change orders and change requests:

• Manage Change Orders in Supplier Portal (ACA_MANAGE_CHANGE_ORDERS_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

• View Change Order in Supplier Portal (ACA_VIEW_CHANGE_ORDER_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

• Manage Change Requests in Supplier Portal (ACA_MANAGE_CHANGE_REQUESTS_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

• View Change Request in Supplier Portal (ACA_VIEW_CHANGE_REQUEST_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

Along with each of the view and manage privileges, provide the following: Monitor Product Management Workflow Objects (ACA_MONITOR_PRODUCT_MANAGEMENT_WORFLOW_OBJECTS_PRIV).

Privileges for problem reports and corrective actions:

• Manage Problem Report in Supplier Portal (ACA_MANAGE_PROBLEM_REPORTS_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

• View Problem Report in Supplier Portal (ACA_VIEW_PROBLEM_REPORT_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

• Manage Corrective Action in Supplier Portal (ACA_MANAGE_CORRECTVE_ACTION_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

• View Corrective Action in Supplier Portal (ACA_VIEW_CORRECTIVE_ACTION_SUPPLIER_PORTAL)

Along with each of the view and manage privileges, provide the following: Monitor Product Management Workflow Objects (ACA_MONITOR_PRODUCT_MANAGEMENT_WORFLOW_OBJECTS_PRIV).

Check Additional Controls Assigned to Change Type

Check and adjust permissions in Portal Users column within the Additional Workflow Controls table in change type setup for the object. Settings in this table control what actions workflow participants can perform at each status in the workflow. For more information on actions available for supplier users, see the related topics.

Depending on the change order status, you can configure the following actions for supplier users:

• Manage Change Header Attachments

• Manage Change Header Attributes

Check Security Tab on Object

If supplier portal users are unable to access an object, make sure that the user or role is added on the Security tab of the object. Note that if the Security tab doesn't contain any user or role, objects can be accessed by all users. For more information, see the related topics.
