Support for Sourcing Rules and Bills of Distribution in Oracle Replenishment Planning

This topic explains how Oracle Replenishment Planning supports sourcing rules and bills of distribution.

Sourcing rules and bills of distribution are assigned to items at various levels on the Edit Assignment Set page.

When replenishment orders are calculated, sourcing rules and bills of distribution are supported as follows:

  • Sourcing rules and bills of distribution of the buy from and transfer from types are supported.

  • Sourcing rules and bills of distribution of the make at type aren't supported.

  • Both global and local sourcing rules are supported.

  • Only Rank 1 sourcing rules and bills of distribution are supported.

  • Split sourcing rules and bills of distribution aren't supported.

  • The transit times specified for shipping methods are considered.

  • If no sourcing rule is defined for an item-location combination, the buy from sourcing rule is used as the default, and the supplier attributes are taken from the Items table.
