Set Up Promising to Support Your Back-to-Back Flow

Setting up Promising to support your back-to-back flow is similar to the setup that you do for a standard flow.

  1. Go to the Product Information Management work area, open the item that you're fulfilling for editing, such as the AS54888 Computer, then make sure the Back-to-Back Enabled option contains Yes.

    Promising uses this option to determine whether to send a supply request to Supply Chain Orchestration. If it contains No, then Promising won't send the request.

  2. Create a sourcing rule so Promising can send buy, make, transfer, or on-hand recommendations to Supply Chain Orchestration.
  3. Create an available-to-promise (ATP) rule so Promising can send scheduling details to Order Management.

  4. Assign your rules.
