Enable the Allow Group Asset Lookup for Your Book

To enable group asset functionality for your book, you must first enable the Allow Group Asset lookup.

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the Manage Fixed Assets Lookups task.
2. Click the Manage Fixed Assets Lookups link.
3. In the Manage Fixed Assets Lookups page, enter ORA_FA_ALLOW_GROUP in the Lookup Type field.
4. Click Search.
5. Click the Create icon in the Financials Generic Lookup Type section.
6. Enter the book name in the Lookup Code column for the book in which you want to enable group asset functionality.
7. Enter the reference data set.
8. Ensure the Enabled option is checked for the book.
9. Enter the book name in the Meaning field.
10. Click Save and Close.

After you enable the Allow Group Asset lookup, the Allow group depreciation option becomes visible in the Advanced Rules section on the Create or Edit Book page.
