Enable Rule Block Configuration

Configuring rule blocks improves decision-making during the approval process. It makes it easier to track the flow of approvals, and identify any potential issues in the process.

By default, the blocks defined in the Workflow Rules sheet are executed in the order they are defined. However, you can modify this sequence after enabling rule block configuration.

Here's how you enable rule block configuration.

  1. In the Workflow Rules sheet, click View Additional Settings.
  2. Select the Enable Rule Block Configuration checkbox. This opens a new sheet named Rule Block Configuration.
  3. You can assign then execution order (levels) for the rule blocks in the Rule Block Configuration sheet.
Important:

You must name the rule blocks to use them in the configuration sheet.

Configure Rule Block for Parallel Execution

You can enter multiple rule blocks in the same level. By doing so, you ensure that they are executed simultaneously. This ability allows parallel execution of multiple rule blocks. This lets multiple participants review and approve an item simultaneously, improving the approval times.
