Overview of Creating ASNs and ASBNs

In this activity, suppliers can create ASNs (advance shipment notices) and ASBNs (advance shipment billing notices) when a shipment is ready.

Upon submission of the ASN or ASBN, a notification is sent to the buyer. For ASBNs, the supplier also enters billing details, such as the invoice number, invoice date, and invoice amount.

Suppliers can:

• Search for purchase order lines and create ASNs and ASBNs

• Enter shipment details for the ASN or ASBN

• Enter lot or serial information

• Record nested packing units

• Enter billing information for ASBNs

• Edit an ASN or ASBN line

• Split a shipment line
