Schedule and Assign Resources to Maintenance Work Orders

Use the Schedule and Assign Resources to Maintenance Work Orders scheduled process to create a new or update an existing work order schedule using Production Scheduling to assign team members to work order operations.

When to Use

The scheduled process can be run in one of the three modes:
  • Create a new or update an existing schedule using Production Scheduling and create resource assignments.
  • Create a new or update an existing schedule using only Production Scheduling.
  • Create, update, or delete resource assignments in the existing schedule only.

You can create a new or update an existing schedule using Production Scheduling if you have licensed the product and performed the necessary setups as covered in the Using Production Scheduling guide. To enable this capability in the scheduled process, you must set the asset maintenance parameter, Use Production Scheduler to Schedule and Assign Work Orders to Yes. See the Enable Work Orders Scheduling and Resources Assignment topic to learn more about the parameters.

Privilege You Need

  • MNT_WORK_ORDER_RESOURCE_INSTANCE_ASSIGNMENT_ESS_PRIV
