Schedule and Assign Resources to Maintenance Work Orders
Use the Schedule and Assign Resources to Maintenance Work Orders scheduled process to create a new or update an existing work order schedule using Production Scheduling to assign team members to work order operations.
When to Use
- Create a new or update an existing schedule using Production Scheduling and create resource assignments.
- Create a new or update an existing schedule using only Production Scheduling.
- Create, update, or delete resource assignments in the existing schedule only.
You can create a new or update an existing schedule using Production Scheduling if you have licensed the product and performed the necessary setups as covered in the Using Production Scheduling guide. To enable this capability in the scheduled process, you must set the asset maintenance parameter, Use Production Scheduler to Schedule and Assign Work Orders to Yes. - MNT_WORK_ORDER_RESOURCE_INSTANCE_ASSIGNMENT_ESS_PRIV
- Allows automatic assignment of resource instances to work orders.

Troubleshoot Information
- After you submit, check the status of the process on the scheduled processes page. You see Succeeded status after the process and any of its subprocesses, have run successfully.
- If issues are encountered, the process or any of its subprocesses shows a Warning or Error status. In the error logs, you can see the validation errors and warning messages that prevented the process from completing.
- Interactive warning validations aren't performed. You can resubmit, put on hold, cancel, or release the process.
