Setting Up Electronic Plan Review

You can implement electronic plan review for permits and planning applications using a third-party integration with Bluebeam. This topic provides basic guidance for getting started with electronic plan reviews displayed in the Redwood Experience.

Oracle Permitting and Licensing is a technology integrator using Bluebeam Studio™ API. Implementation of electronic plan review requires your agency to subscribe to Bluebeam Revu. Contact Bluebeam Technical Support for more information.

Here's information about setting up electronic plan reviews in Oracle Permitting and Licensing:

  • Enable the Bluebeam Studio™ API in the Functional Setup Manager.

    In the Functional Setup Manager, go to setup for Permits. Click the Change Feature Opt In link. In the Permit Types row, click the Features pencil icon button. Select the option to enable the Updated Bluebeam Studio API for both Permits and Planning and Zoning. You must enable this option when using the Redwood Experience for plan reviews. No other configuration is needed.

  • Enable electronic plan reviews in the agency-level options for permits and planning applications. See Setting Up Agency-Level Options for Permits and Setting Up Agency-Level Options for Planning Applications.

  • For the integration to work, add the email addresses for reviewers found in their agency staff profiles to the Bluebeam Studio™ portal. For further information about setting up a Bluebeam Studio™ integration, contact Oracle Support.
