Create and Edit Groups

Let’s take a look at how you can create and edit groups for both the News feed and Home with Ask Oracle layouts.

Create and Edit Groups for News Feed

1. In Sandboxes, create a sandbox or enter an existing one. Make sure the sandbox has the Structure tool. 

2. From the sandbox Tools menu, select Structure.

3. Do one of these steps based on your need and proceed to Step 4:

   • Click Create, and then select Create Group.

   • Click the name of a group to edit.

4. Provide a name for the group and select an icon for it.

5. From the Show on Navigator list, choose whether to display the group on the Navigator and home page.

   If you select EL Expression, the evaluation of the EL expression decides whether the group will be visible for specific user roles. Click next to the list and enter an expression without line breaks or double quotes. Validate the EL expression and make sure it evaluates to true or false.

6. Save the group and publish the sandbox.

Create and Edit Groups for Home with Ask Oracle

1. In Sandboxes, create a sandbox or enter an existing one. Make sure the sandbox has the Structure tool. 

2. From the sandbox Tools menu, select Structure.

3. Do one of these steps based on your need and proceed to Step 4:

   • Click Create, and then select Create Group.

   • Click the name of a group to edit.

4. Provide a name for the group.

5. From the Visible list, choose whether to display the group in the product map.

6. Save the group and publish the sandbox.
