Performing Inspections on the Inspector Application

Use the Inspector Application for mobile devices to perform a variety of inspections for permits and business license applications on a daily basis.

The Inspector Application provides government field staff the ability to evaluate building code and other regulatory compliance using productivity tools on a mobile device and is accessible through your agency's implementation of Oracle Permitting and Licensing. Here's how to open the Inspector Application:

• Home with Ask Oracle

  Starting from Home with Ask Oracle, search for and select the Permitting and Licensing Inspector Application menu item.

• Agency Springboard in the Classic Interface

  Starting from the agency springboard in the classic interface, search for and select the Mobile Inspection tile that opens the Inspector Application displayed in the Redwood Experience.

The documentation in the chapter about using the Inspector Application focuses on pages displayed using the Redwood Experience. You don't need to download the Inspector Application from an app store; if you already have the app, you will be redirected.

Inspectors and inspector supervisors can use the Inspector Application on any smart phone or tablet.
