Setting Up GIS to Property Import Mapping
Your agency can integrate the Esri service with Oracle Permitting and Licensing to enable real-time import of Address, Parcel, Owner, and Parcel District information.
When configuring import mappings for Address, Parcel, and Owner information, your agency must do this:
-
Turn on the Identify and import property information using GIS switch. For more information, see Setting Up Agencies.
-
Use the GIS to Property Import Mapping page to map GIS attributes for Address, Property, and Owner. If your agency has defined GIS layers for Parcel Districts, then the respective mapping can be done to import that information to the parcel reference.
Oracle recommends defining the address, parcel, and owner layers with pagination enabled on the Esri service for performance reasons.
Here's how to add GIS to property import mappings:
-
Access setup through the .
-
On the GIS to Property Import Mapping setup page, click the Add (+) button.
-
On the New GIS to property import mapping details drawer, enter this information:
Page Element Description Mapping Name
Select a mapping name for the property import you want to map: Address, Parcel, Owner, or Parcel Districts.
For Parcel Districts, you must have already set up Districts and District Types. For more information about Districts, see Setting Up District Types.
Description
Enter a description of the property import mapping.
Mapping Service URL
The unique server URL (uniform resource locator) is automatically populated based on the attributes defined on the GIS Attribute Mapping page.Note:If the respective Mapping Service URL on the GIS Attribute Mapping page is changed after this mapping is set up, the administrator must reopen this mapping and map the correct attributes based on the new Mapping Service URL.
For more information, see Setting Up GIS Attribute Mapping.
Enabled
Turn on this switch to enable property import mapping for this mapping name.
Map attributes
The two columns of map attributes displayed on the left-hand side are read-only.
The Map attributes section lists all the Property Reference attributes and their types. The drop-down on the right lists all the GIS Attributes for the Mapping Service URL.
Select the appropriate GIS Attribute to import into the respective Property Reference attribute. Only the mapped attributes will be imported, and the rest will be ignored.
-
Click Save.
Keeping Address and Parcel Information Updated
After configuring import mappings for Address, Parcel, and Owner, you can keep the data updated by running the Load Property Information from GIS Oracle Enterprise Scheduler (ESS) job. This scheduled process enables agencies to quickly keep property records accurate and up to date by bulk loading and refreshing addresses, parcels, owners, and districts from GIS layers.
When you run this scheduled process, you can specify the duration in hours for loading the data from GIS. After the duration is reached, the process will stop and then restart per your schedule from where the previous instance stopped. If you leave the duration parameter at zero, the ESS will run until all rows of data are processed.
Turn on the Detailed logging switch if you want to see a log of all of the objects that were updated. If you only want to see overall totals, leave the switch off. The log files can be helpful if you want to search for specific parcel district numbers, for example.
The Elastic Search ingestion needs to be run after each import for these two indexes: fa-psc-apo-parcel & fa-psc-apo-address. For more information, see Setting Up Oracle Search Cloud Service.
