Credit Card Selection Behavior with Multiple Cards (Release 9.2 Update 26)

If an employee has multiple cards for the same payment method, the system processes credit card transactions using a specific logic with which the employee can keep both prior and replacement cards active, and apply eligible transactions as needed.

While selecting a payment method at the time of entering an expense, if the system finds more than one valid card for that method, it automatically uses the card with the nearest expiration date, which is the card that is soonest to expire. For standard expense entry, the card assignment is always system-driven for regulatory and business consistency.

If all cards for a payment method are expired, the system blocks expense claim submission and displays an error.

This behavior applies to reimbursement methods that include credit card reimbursement processing.
