Resubmit Saved Mail

This page is accessed via Business Process Automation > Process Management > Resubmit Saved Mail.

This page searches for a batch of saved emails, oldest to youngest, matching the specified statuses and re-sends them out with saved content.

  1. Select a Status for the saved mail you wish to resubmit. This enables you to resubmit messages based on why the message was saved. If you do not specify a status, only emails blocked by QUOTA are resent. Options include:
    • QUOTA: blocked by a mail quota.
    • SENDER: blocked by Mail Delivery, due to the From party not being registered as a mail sender. To fix this go to the Mail Senders page.
    • SUPPRESSION: blocked by Mail Delivery, due to the recipients being suppressed. To fix this, go to the Mail Failures page.
    • FAILURE: failed due to an invalid email address or an intermittent transport error in Mail Delivery. If transport errors persist, contact Support.
    • SENT: sent out of OTM, but not necessarily delivered. Mailboxes may reject mail successfully sent. Critical emails such as tenders may be resent even in a Sent status.
    • Note: Only statuses of QUOTA and FAILURE can be used to schedule recurring processes.

  2. Enter a Subject to query against. This will process messages where the email subject line that contains the text specified in the Subject field.
  3. Select a Mail Audit Profile. This can be used to identify a type of email, in addition to the Subject.
  4. If you want to specify a resend of the emails saved only in the last few hours, enter a Younger Than time. Only emails younger than the time period will be resent.  If do not specify a Younger Than time, all saved mails are resent. This may be up to 6 days of mail which can flood the mail system and block new mails from being sent. You may specify a younger than time by day, hour, and minute.
  5. Enter a Batch Size to specify the maximum number of emails you want to resend. If not specified, the default is 500. Limit the batch size to prevent large amounts of emails from flooding the SMTP server. Regardless of the batch size the mail quota is enforced.
  6. Enter a User Role. When you run, publish, or schedule a recurring process, you can specify the user role used to perform the process, just like when you run agents. The user role can be used to specify a separate VPD role or another domain to run the agent. When a recurring process is modified, the user role of the recurring process can be modified as well.
  7. Select a Log Profile to generate focused logging when reproducing an error for the specific action. You cannot select a log profile when you choose to schedule a process, as automatic generation of action logs is not supported.
  8. Select Execute, Publish, or Schedule to determine when the process will be executed.
  9. Click Submit.
