Global Connections to Microsoft Azure Blob Storage
Global connections can be defined to Microsoft Azure Blob Storage in order to share data with external applications and processes from a centralized storage location in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment. These global connections can be used by Enterprise Data Management extracts and extract packages to transfer data files to an Azure blob storage container. Consuming applications can then retrieve the extracted data from Azure blob storage. Data files can be written to the root folder in the target container or a specified subfolder.
Business Benefit: The Azure blob storage container can serve as a temporary staging area to integrate Enterprise Data Management with downstream systems or provide permanent storage of enterprise data for a federated data repository.
