The Strategic Modeling skills help users explore existing Oracle Cloud EPM Strategic Modeling models, analyze financial results, and prepare new scenarios for review and approved execution. They combine read-only financial analysis with controlled workflows for creating scenarios inherited from an existing parent. 

These skills cover: 

  • Model exploration: Discover models and inspect accounts, scenarios, periods, dimensions, templates, and rollup information.
  • Financial trends: Retrieve account values across selected periods to analyze performance over time.
  • Scenario comparisons: Compare financial results between scenarios and calculate variances.
  • Formula and contributor analysis: Inspect account formulas and identify supporting contributors.
  • Driver analysis: Identify significant contributions and rank changes along supported calculation paths.
  • Reports and data retrieval: Retrieve model reports and selected financial data slices for analysis.
  • Financial objective mapping: Match business objectives to candidate accounts and verify them against live model metadata.
  • Read-only Goal Seek: Preview input adjustments needed to reach a financial target without changing an existing scenario.
  • Scenario automation: Prepare a proposal, obtain approval, create a new inherited scenario, apply approved inputs, calculate results, and verify the outcome.
  • EPS alternatives: Prepare revenue-led, expense-led, and balanced approaches to an earnings per share target.
  • Results validation: Read back changed inputs and calculated outputs, compare against the parent scenario, and report tradeoffs or incomplete outcomes.

Strategic Modeling AI Skills use shared Authentication for live access. It does not support new model creation, Monte Carlo simulation, existing scenario updates or deletion, or rollup execution.
