Associate delivery schedules with Kanban pull sequences
Lean manufacturing environments require efficient management of frequent, scheduled deliveries tied to Kanban replenishment from suppliers to optimize inventory flow, minimize shortages, and reduce administrative workload. Before this update, Kanban delivery dates were calculated from generic lead times, which may cause misalignments with actual delivery patterns and raise inventory and expediting costs.
You can now enable supplier and interorganization Kanban replenishment to use recurring delivery schedules with one or more delivery times per working day. You can perform the following functions:
- Define delivery schedules with unique names through the user interface or REST service and optionally designate one schedule as the default.
- Associate one delivery schedule with a supplier or interorganization pull sequence.
- Calculate the next delivery date and time using the Kanban replenishment time, pull-sequence lead time, organization calendar, and associated delivery schedule.
- Based on the associated delivery schedule, display the expected delivery date and time for in-process supplier and interorganization Kanban cards.
- Display the associated delivery schedule in the sequence details with the ability to query based on the delivery schedule in the Kanban administrator app.
- Display the expected time of material delivery for a Kanban card in the Kanban administrator app.

Associating delivery schedule with a pull sequence
Manufacturers and suppliers reduce manual effort, gain end-to-end Kanban delivery visibility, and avoid inventory shortages by aligning the Kanban supply orders with delivery schedules.
Steps to enable and configure
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

- Define one or more delivery schedules in the organization.
- Optionally mark one delivery schedule as the default delivery schedule.
- In the pull sequence definition, enable the option to associate a delivery schedule by selecting Enable delivery schedules. Select the delivery schedule or the default delivery schedule.
Tips and considerations
- Everyday represents every working day in the organization calendar and supports multiple delivery times. Specific Days supports only one delivery time.
- Only one delivery schedule can be marked as the default. Defining a default schedule is optional.
- Only one delivery schedule can be associated with a pull sequence, including a pull sequence with multiple suppliers.
- Changing the default schedule doesn't update schedules already associated with existing pull sequences; the new default applies to newly created pull sequences.
- A delivery schedule name can be updated, and a schedule can be deleted, only when the schedule isn't associated with a pull sequence.
- Kanban replenishment with and without delivery schedules can coexist, and supplier shipping schedules aren't factored in this release.
- You can update an existing pull sequence to associate a delivery schedule.
